Gahanna Area ParksGahanna offers more than 700 breathtaking acres of parkland and reserves that are ideal for creating treasured memories. Of the more than 30 parks available, the most notable include: Academy Park 1201 Cherrybottom Road This park is the largest in Gahanna with 93 acres offering seven baseball diamonds and two basketball courts. Nature trails, fishing and a jogging track are a few of the park's additional highlights. The B.A.S.E. 236 Granville Street Gahanna's newest park, the Bike And Skate Escape, opened in 2003 and offers a state-of-the-art environment for extreme biking and skateboarding, as well as an in-line hockey area. Creekside Park 123 Mill Street This beautiful five acre park is the centerpiece of historic Olde Gahanna. Best known for its lovely waterfall, the park invites visitors to stroll the walkways, enjoy a nostalgic picnic, take a paddle boat ride, fish, or wade in the delightful water of the meandering Big Walnut Creek. Creekside Park is host to many of Gahanna's events, including the popular Summer in the Park Entertainment Series, available May through August. Columbus, OH 43224 (614) 471-1565 Public Course, Member of the Ohio Golf Course Owners Association Holes: 9, Yards: 3,040 Par: 36, Rating: 68.8, Slope: 112 Built in 1931, this championship bent grass course with water in play, offers double-tiered, heated greens and a state-of-the-art practice facility. Directions: From I-270, North, take I-670 West/US-62 exit # 35, towards Airport/Gahanna. Take the Johnstown Rd. ramp. Turn left onto W. Johnstown Road, right onto Stelzer Road, left onto Agler Road and right onto N. Cassady Ave. North Cassady Ave. becomes Agler Road. Gahanna Golf Course 220 Ridenour Road Gahanna, OH 43230 (614) 471-0579 Public Course Holes: 9, Yards: 2,853 Par 35, Rating: 66.7 This tree-lined track is a short, but challenging course. Water comes into play on five of the nine holes. Three of the holes are protected by greenside bunkers. This course is great for the novice golfer but still challenging enough for the more experienced. Directions: From I-270 take the Gahanna/Rte. 62 exit. Turn left onto S. Golf course is 1/4 mile beyond the park entrance.
